About Denise
Denise Gibbons
My Story
I am the Founder of Integrity Wealth, which is a small full-service boutique financial services business in Brisbane, Australia. This business grew out of my sole practitioner accounting business that I purchased suddenly in 1992. I was in partnership with a gentleman named Warwick King who had built the business. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with cancer in 1992 and passed away. Three weeks after he passed away, I fell pregnant.
So I inherited a baby and a business. Motherhood and business combined – an amazing mix.
This wonderful combination of these two dynamic ingredients is the foundation of my learning, experience and wisdom as a women’s leadership specialist. Growing a sustainable business in a male-dominated profession for 24 years together with my personal journey as a parent and single-parent gave me the insight to write the book Women as Leaders – The World Needs You – A Practical Guide.
Becoming a member of the Neuroleadership Institute in 2012 provided the neuroscience of human behaviour that is at the core of the practical tools that I have developed to guide and inspire women leaders.
All of this wisdom, learning, and insight is built into the Programs that are offered by me.

Diploma of Advanced Accounting University of Queensland
1977 – 1981
Worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC formerly Coopers & Lybrand) in Sydney and Perth
1980
Chartered Accountant
1981 – 1984
Worked with mid-size Chartered Accountant’s practice in Sydney as well as went back to my home town Barcaldine and looked after my mother who died of bowel cancer. I also looked after two family businesses during this time as my mother had been a key person in their management.
1984 – 1991
Moved to Brisbane and worked various contract accounting roles as well as Financial Controller of a private hospital.
1991 – 1992
Became a partner of the firm W G King & D M Gibbons Public Accountants
1992 – 2005
Sole practitioner accountant
1998
Obtained my financial planning qualifications
2005
Integrity Wealth emerged with the partnership of Mark Stewart Chartered Accountant and myself
2005 – 2016
Slowly built the full-service financial services business with partners Mark Stewart and Samara Badgery. This business now offers the following financial services to its clients – accounting, bookkeeping, income tax, financial planning, mortgage broking, superannuation, life insurance, estate planning facilitation, transition planning and aged care financial advice.
